CORE BLIMEY GUV'NOR

Yeah .. I had to do it!

So then I saw this title come up about Intel showing off a 28 core CPU running at 5GHZ and I was like, how the hell did they do that?!

So I thought about it and I thought ..

  • Well they have had a long enough time since Ryzen came out
  • They were planning their own answer to Infinity Fabric, or whatever it is called
  • They could have had a re-design in the works already and just added Infinity Fabric to said design?
  • Maybe this is a 10nm processor?
But then I watched .. did not pay much attention and moved on, still wondering how they did this and thought I would read somewhere else abut it, maybe Gamers Nexus or more likely AdoredTV?

Then AdoredTV did a video and Gamers Nexus also and I watched first Steve's video and then Jim's and I roared with laughter at each video. Wait .. so an existing core design? Not 10nm? Yeah .. I do not think so .. something is very wrong here.

Then the mention of the cooler and pictures of it and .. boy I am lucky the tears did not fall onto my keyboard or it might start behaving like an air cooled 28 core 5Ghz processor and catch fire? After exploding and creating a black hole. That s after everyone's lights go out after it sucking up all the power from the National Grid.

Oh wait? No mine is not a 5Ghz 28 core CPU! Lol, I forgot!

Things are beginning to get interesting though, just hope I am around to see it get interesting, because this move to the next generation Ryzen with the 3000 series along with the move to 7nm should be incredible.

Shame the GPU side of things has gone a bit dead. Yeah disappointing that AMD did not bring anything out noteworthy but maybe the move to 7nm on that might prove something.

Meanwhile nVidia and their next 1180, or 2080, card seems to have been delayed? Now it seems like when it does arrive it is going to be prohibitively expensive at well over £1,000? Great, that will cheer people up and start another pointless fanboy war.

Except .. I am hearing that they are targeting their next Navi GPU at the mid-range making it sound like another Vega? But this could just be more moronic and intellectually challenged fanboys making shit up. Good God they actually waste their time making up all this bullshit?!

The saddest ones are the ones that make up the God damn graphs!

Like those that claim to be gamers moaning about the perspective in a game, first person or third person is one I can think of.

Oh, your gamers? But you are going to exclude certain games in the genres you claim to love because of these little details?!

Like when I complained on my YouTube account about The Witcher .. oh .. my .. good .. God! The things that they say and the insults, lol. All sounding like communist totalitarian dictators ..

'agree with me or I will burn your house down with you in it if you do not agree with my over the top praise of what is merely a fucking game'

..more or less is the level of mentality you get.

Little do they know how mankind would benefit from their own absence?!

I also here that Intel is going to have another go at creating a GPU and due to come out in 2020? Oh boy if this is true and they ave learned from their mistakes of the past .. well .. AMD had better watch out?!

If this had happened and Ryzen had been a flop? Oooh boy?!

THE GAS TO FEAR

Ooh.

How bloody odd?! Sorry I thought I had posted on here my latest ... purchases. Of which there are several lots..

Well .. I bought a car .. I think I put that in my last post?

Yes .. I did check butt I forgot whether it was there or not .. yes in a mere few seconds.

That is because I probably have not explained in a while that I have a disability condition that causes short term memory loss among a great many other things.

Anyway ..

So yeah I bought a car and people could think .. yeah OK, not that hard to buy a car?

Yeah it is this car when it is cash and when you have lost your no claims bonus and not had a way of bringing in any kind of wage for several years. And yes I do have a dozen blogs but this really takes around 5 years to even get a small first payment out of and it is a ew weeks away form reaching that 5 year milestone. or the very first blog.

So how about some more items?

Well I had this plan to improve my blogs by quite a factor and to do this I needed certain ... tools from a number of fields.

After the first initial and biggest purchase .. some weird psychological fear set in?! Weird. Bcome panicky, lol.

One of those is digital photography ..

Say maybe a short list of ..

  • Sony A99 II DSLT Camera
  • Sony G Series 70-200mm f2.8
  • Sony Zeiss 24-70mm f2.8
  • Sony 1.4x Teleconverter
  • LowePro Whistler Backpack
  • LowePro Toploader
  • Hoya Circular Polarizer
  • Carbon Tripod
  • Benro Gimbal
  • . some other stuff lol

I watched a hell of a lot of YouTube videos the past three months!

I noticed that fanboyism is just as bad in cameras as it is in computing tech, gaming tech and everything else and i is shocking at how narrow minded and sometimes stupid people are.

I am sure hey are just a bunch of angry 12 year olds just going through their changes?

Yeah the Sony A99 Mark II was chosen because of is smaller size, original wanted Nikon D810, its 42 mega pixel count, its speed of autofocus, the high praise the lenses get, its ease of use (this was more hopeful than anything else) and its price. A £3,000 it did a lot of things I wanted it to do better than Canons and Nikon double its price!

I am also not what you would call a one trick pony ..

  • Wildlife Photography from tiny insects to far away birds and even night time animals
  • Landscape photography
  • Astrophotgraphy
The things I d not do is weddings and portraits .. bu I might get asked?

I have other lists too ..

  • AMD Ryzen Threadripper
  • AMD Vega
  • M2 Drives
  • Gigabyte Motherboard .. probably
  • Phantek Case
  • Loads of other shit

Then there are wanted lists I have not actualy compiled yet and am unsure about ..

  • Reflector Telescope probably by Celestron, maybe by Meade?
  • Camera Drone and either a DJI Mavic Pro or Yuneec Typhoon H
Wishful thinking?

Yeah I had a bunch of stuff I thought would happen over a year ago. This one was .. different .. and tee fact that I showed a video of my new car in my last post should have made people think "Oh crap .. maybe this time it has worked out?!"

Yeeeaaahhh about those failed expectations? The crazy thing about expectations is that as well as failing to happen at they can also just be really .. really .. late!

All pie in the sky and wishful thinking?

Here .. try a few videos ..

Hmm wanna see some video taken with the Sony A99 II and using the Sony G 70-200mm f2.8 lens?

MY FOREHEAD HURTS - RYZEN

OK then ...

Many, many people still making idiot mistakes, still quoting stuff like they know what they are talking about and still quoting crap that is simply not the case at all. All the cues are there already but for some reason people are blind to them.

Let us take one simple comment I saw on Tom's Hardware in the Ryzen 1700X review I have seen over and over again elsewhere ...

Some people have correctly stated that more cores will be needed in gaming in the future while naysayers without the intellect have stated that this will be years away ... if ever?!

If ever ... I just love some of these statements.

Games are coded based on what the mainstream is .. not the top end so sorry to all those that base, ,and even buy, everything on the top end. It is just simple economics.

Everyone has been purchasing Intel 4 core CPU's, that may or may not be hyper-threaded, and have done for years and simply because 6 and 8 core CPUs were not worth it if you were just gaming.

Right now two things are happening and the first is that the 8 core Ryzen's have been selling ... a lot. You also cannot base things on what your bloody friends do or say ... gaming is a global thing. The second thing is that more and more gamers are streaming and so much so that even Google and YouTube are trying to cater for those that want to stream there games.

That is two very good reasons for the Ryzen 7's and games being coded for more than four cores already and before I get to the next and best reason of all...

Every single rumour out there, forgetting the fact that gaming consoles already use 8 cores, is stating that the up and coming XBox Scorpio is going to use Ryzen cores as well as a Vega GPU.

That was Ryzen cores.

Did no one notice how quick game developers came out and said that they were both excited and working with Ryzen in mind? Did no one realise why this was?

Yeah ... when consoles are on their way they already have games being coded for them, which is why there is always a few titles available at launch. The Nintendo Switch not withstanding. Which only had two ... or one and a quarter from the sounds of it?

The XBox Scorpio is supposed to be coming out this year, 2017, and before the end of the year and we are already a few months into this year. Games do not get coded in a few months, not even indie bloody titles, lol.

Which likely means that games are already well into development for Ryzen.

Though none of this matters to myself personally.

I do not build a PC to play games on with three year old titles in mind and nor have I ever and nor will I ever do this. I really do not see how anyone does ... unless they are these die hard fanboys for old titles that just keep on playing them, not matter what.

The only game in recent memory that had me play through it far more than any other is Alien Isolation. Played through that around 6 times and the next closest title to that was three times and Call Of Juarez Gunslinger. The first was over atmosphere and the latter because playing it on its hardest setting, no cross-hairs at all, was a fun challenge. So fun I did it twice, lol.

As much as I loved, ,and completed, games like Skyrim, Fallouts, Dragon Age Inquisition and The Witcher 3 ... I have never been tempted to play them again. With the exception of Deus Ex Human Revolution that was far shorter than those others so did not mind going through it two, might have been three, times.

But I will get excited about the future RPG's along with other titles ... if they look good though of late that looking good a year or so before launch has not amounted to much. Despite all the raving about nVidia's latest GPUs, pre 1080 and 1070.

If things go according to plan I am building a Ryzen PC with a Vega card in a couple of months time when Vega is released. This might now get pushed back a little because of the news that a 12 and 16 core Ryzen might be coming. Something I thought would happen if I am honest but as there was absolutely no talk about this, or foresight, ,from any of the tech professionals I thought it was not going to happen.

I should know better than to ignore my instincts based on what tech journalists are or are not talking about!

Whether I go this route for more than 8 physical cores I am not sure right now. It would all rather depend somewhat on clockspeeds as well as RAM speed scaling, as is being noted with Ryzen 7.

Despite the whiners as well as those speaking about things they do not have the intellect to speak of I for one am very happy with what AMD have released. Because for the next 3 to 5 years things are going to be extremely interesting. Not 'might be' but 'will be'.

I thought it would be good to get on the AM4 platform as the next iterations of Ryzen should be pretty good. New node and new architecture alone are two areas where things will improve.

In all honesty the only negative point right now is the dual core RAM and the PCI-E lanes, though I am not entirely sure this is an issue. AS unlike so many armchair experts I cannot see into the future and am not sure whether those PCI-E lanes of 16x will be swamped by the next generation of cards?

Dual channel RAM is not really an issue as long as its frequency keeps increasing but will it get to a point whereby it cannot be increased? Which means to feed data faster you have no choice but to go quad channel, at which point you need a new motherboard.

But if a new motherboard is not need until, say, Zen 4, for arguments sake, and this is 3 years or more away then ... it is a non issue.

Oh I also find it hilarious that every single person that states that Ryzen is NOT a gaming CPU, even the ones trying to make excuses for it. Really?! I mean, REALLY?!

I wonder if they then go and play games on an XBox or a Playstation at 30 frames per second after hitting that return button and stating that Ryzen is not a gaming CPU because 140 frames and not 180 frames per second.

Now if I was a dedicated console owner I would get pretty irate at all these snobs going on about differences of ten or even twenty frames per second when there close to or above 100 frames per second by a fair old margin.

In fact I am amazed that console owners have not ripped into these people just yet.

I also mentioned about optimisations of current and slightly older games in a recent post on AMD's Ryzen? Yeah ... do not really care about that either ... unless it happens to be a game that I will go back to AND it is getting less than 40fps minimum.

Why?! Unless you are MMO'ing and doing it for money ... just, WHY?!

I also find it hilarious that everyone is scrambling to get Ryzen 5's performance metrics from Ryzen 7's, lol. Really?!

Oh dear.

You might get it right, you have a 50/50 chance, or you might get it wrong but you have no way of knowing. That is NOT, however, what some of them are stating. The are stating that they have tested by switching off cores and stating this is what will happen. I do not know and I do not care as outside of going for a 6 core Ryzen I have no interest.

I am aware, however, that there is no way of knowing how the cores will overclock and no way of knowing how the shared cache memory will make a difference. Will there be more cache memory available to cores because the other cores that would otherwise share this memory are no there? Or would it be that it remains the same depending on how cores are switched off, or failed in the production process? Who knows? I presently do not and I am damn sure no one else does.

Buuut ... if they get it right and there is no difference watch how all of them that predicted no change will crow about it, which will likely lead to irate people telling them to feck off and go and design CPU's as they are obviously engineers? Lol.

I get so annoyed when I read some of the comments. Hands over my face with my uttering "Oooh for the love of God, man!" Lol.

I am doing something I find funny ... I am going to hold off buying a laptop until they come out with Ryzen APU's. I do not bloody know why? Lol.

Well I have always been aware that despite all the crap everyone talks about then CPUs come out they fail to see that ... if something is faster in just one single thing then anything else that is slower comes down to a software issue.

Sorry but that's it and that's all.

If it was a hardware issue then it would show in every single thing tested and I imagine that, without bothering to go back and check, this would be the case with AMD's previous bulldozers. Not quite as bad as everyone made out but clearly slower in everything ... CLOCK FOR CLOCK.

This is not the case with Ryzen and so things are very, very different.

Yet I have very literally and a long time ago lost count of the number of remarks like "AMD has failed again" and "It is bulldozer all over again". Oooh boy, oh boy.

There is an old saying ... you cannot see the wood for the trees.

If you want to remain blind then go and be blind. Do NOT go around on the Internet trying to blind others because .. the Internet is NOT forgiving and it may come back to bite you in the arse?

EDIT: Oh and some so called tech journalists and reviewers might want to seriously change their tone too ... because what I hear a lot is "Oooh Ryzen was supposed to be sooo good at gaming and it is SOOOO NOOOT!"

Your giving out the wrong impression, maybe intentionally without having to actually state it, when that is simply NOT the case at all.

I for one never expected ANY Ryzen CPU to beat out the fastest Intel CPU on any level ... but it has or come close on all of them.

I expected 35% improvement but hoped they, AMD, were being honest when they stated a 40% improvement and we got over 50% improvement. It has worked out better than I had hoped so I actually find all of the negativity somewhat surprising, if I am perfectly honest.

HEADACHE FROM FACEPALMS

Well it has been a while.

I have been somewhat busy but also paying close attention to what has been leaking out with Ryzen, Vega and I have one eye on each of these products. More about that in a post in the next few weeks

However ... I watched one of my usual people when it comes to PC tech who had been accused of just regurgitating every single rumour out there before this latest one.

Umm this time the regurgitating went too far.

I watched this as I spotted that the full product list of Ryzen CPU's had leaked but as I watched and looked at the lists I realised something.

Everyone is an idiot as are those that had uploaded this video!

This is NOT a leak ... but almost all bar a tiny few are losing their shit and their nappies over it?!

Err what?!

That list is bullshit and is so obvious I have facepalmed myself so many times I now have a headache! Really? REALLY?!

First off their are 17 different processors? Ummm ... NO!

Secondly the clockspeeds are all wrong! Ummm ... NO.

Thirdly they are being compared to all the wrong Intel CPU's! Ummm ... NO!

Fourth on the list is the use of old Radeon, or ATI, numbers as the models along with and without the letter 'X'. Oh so now after stating that they will all be unlocked they are now releasing locked ones?

This had already started to look like a really worried Intel exec putting out something to piss people off ... as this is dreadful. As one pointed out a 6 core Ryzen compared to a four core Intel? I think not.

I was already out at the first one but then I noticed that the 6 core 12 thread versions of Ryzen that they said themselves wont be launched, and will not until autumn at the earliest if at all, are magically on the list?! Umm ... oh fuck it I hate repeating myself.

Around 99% of people are buying into this crap and even fucking Forbes, yes Forbes have even run this story and with a totally different table to everyone else with some of the info missing?! WHAT?!

So I had thought about doing a post on Ryzen and Vega  the last few weeks but did not really feel I had much to go on and instead I am doing one to point out just how many utter fools there are out there.

They have stated that at launch there will be four core versions of Ryzen and eight core versions of Ryzen and then there are the ones with and without multi-threading. So they are going to release 17 CPU's? SEVENTEEN?! Get the fuuuck out of here!

I would be extremely embarrassed, if the Wanga and the Rogue were not already by being proved wrong, if I had commented on this only to realise and be proved later what an utter and obvious fake it is.

Oh the Wanga and the Rogue. Oh how funny it has been to watch them harp on about how smart they are and their dire predictions for something they know nothing about, despite spending months or even years trying desperately to convince everyone else that they do. Oh I have waited and waited and now that information has started to come out that has made them look so very wrong I am loving it. Well at least one had the brains to vanish. After doing searches for a couple of weeks I suddenly noticed that the one with the big mouth, full of shit and a humongous ego was not appearing ion the comments anywhere. I then remembered that the data being released did not match up with his predictions that he had argued doggedly about for months on end. Oh dear. I normally come across him every few days but I have not seen him comment anywhere in about a month or more now.

In fact I do not even go to where he posts, I just read a page and then read the comments section and there he is half the time. Not any more. Now I wait until I come across those that commented he argued with who spot that he seems to have vanished.

Because I have no doubts I will roar with laughter and the things he will be called by those he belittled over and over and over again. Lol.

I first started to think AMD had lost their marbles until I started noticing the 'X', Pro and frequencies which AMD stated would start at 3.4GHz while these are much lower. NONE listed stated 3.6GHz and NONE listed stated 4.0GHz boost.

It is like an endless list of evidence that something is fake and people are crowing, swooning and losing their shit left, right and centre! LMAO!

The best thing AMD can do now, as everyone seems to be extremely naive, is come out and rubbish it and all they have to do is simply state how many models will be released, that's it. As it obviously wont be anything like 17.

Jesus Christ this does not even come close to a decent fake and I fucking hate fake info and the sad bastards that spill this shit out. Need to get a life in my opinion.

So I will go back to sleep until some genuine crap comes out and ... those that have recently been accused of regurgitating every single piece of Ryzen crap on their YouTube channel? Yeeeaahh you might get a see of complaints and unsubscribing this time around, whether your suffering with colds or not.

THE NEW AGE OF GAMES

Ugh!

I really am not up to typing this out as I am ill. I took receipt of two very nice Vape juices and within a couple of hours I was going down with my first does of the flu for a few years! Typical.

I have been wading through the Internet and YouTube as there are now announcements regarding AMD's Polaris, even brief one of Zen, and nVidia's Pascal coming thick and fast!

Only ... it has been a little odd, I am not the only one to have noticed and I am now wondering whether or not people are actually going to wake up to being fooled as well as being misled?

Basically nVidia announced there cards and everyone went nuts. Except I thought the cards sounded complete shite, many people missed an important point but some did spot it.

In fact I sometimes wonder to people's sanity and their own self proclaimed levels of intelligence as I have seen many arguments with the typical nVidia fanboys stating "The 1080 is 2.5 times the power of the 980!" Or they stated the 980Ti, cannot remember, does not matter ... because no it does not!

I wanted to chuckle each time someone then replied with "Nooo! It is 2.5x the performance in Virtual Reality, did you even WATCH the video?!" LMAO!

But then once corrected they are harping on about the actual 30% increase in power, so wwe have moved 150% to 30% or 2.5 times to 0.33 times the power.

Umm ... did anyone note the insane clocks?

A node shrink and insane clocks? I am sorry but I expected a fair bit more than that to be honest and I thought it would be in excess of 50% at the very least.

Oh yeah, and the node shrink? Absolutely everyone completely forgot about one other thing regarding node shrinks that it seemed nVidia forgot all about too?!

It wont be to scale but as an example 14nm is half the size of 28nm. They pay for the wafers used to grow chips so for the same money they get, theoretically but like I said not quite to scale, double thee amount.

This equates to being half the price of the previous equivalent chips. NOT far more expensive!

Yet there will be these morons that think themselves sooo smart that will fight tooth and nail to defend nVidia while being taken advantage of while their back is turned that they might as well bend over and drop their pants!

These same people were also bitching about AMD's Polaris chip and how it needs to be less than $300?! A chip no one has tested. Jesus Christ, do these people even HEAR themselves?! Do they even read back the utter tripe they type?!

So when I then saw a headline in a report that stated that AMD have just announced $200 for their Polaris 10 card I was ... taken aback and laughing like a drain! Hmm, why do we say that? Drains do not laugh, lol.

So all these morons would finally shut the hell up as the Polaris is not only cheaper than the £300 they harped on about but was a whole $100 cheaper than that? Umm ... welllllll .... noooo...

You see now what they are saying is that the card must be absolute shit to be priced that cheap ... despite the fact that AMD have clearly iterated and re-iterated many times that they were going to release the cards cheap, get VR to the masses and that everyone would be shocked.

Nope! The small minded fanboys who have no life popping off to anyone to get a rise out of them with all their spelling mistakes ad typos still troll around the Internet looking for someone or something they want to disagree with.

I will give you a little info ... I have lost count at the number of times I have wanted to reply and rip the living daylights out of these people and I ... resist. I think, no, no don't. They think they are smart but they are not and will not listen because they actually believe that their deductions are so good that they are both immediate and infallible. You cannot help nor educate people like that just let them go off and blow that same old trumpet.

All they succeed in doing is leaving one hell of a trail on the Internet that can be traced back for bloody eons proving over and over again that they are small minded fools.

But ... Polaris being $200? Wow, not even I expected that!

I am very interested to see how it benchmarks, with what drivers and if they are stable or not, as this might give us an insight into the faster cards from AMD coming between October and early 2017.

I like the idea of them moving the 'X' moniker to after the 'R' and doing away with the '9' and '7' as it was stupid and confused less tech savvy people. Oddly everyone is still expecting a Radeon RX-480X. Maybe a X Series Radeon RXX-480XXX? LMFAO.

I am expecting an RX-490 and two Fury cards and all based on Vega. You were told about Polaris 10 and 11 and have now been shown them and told when. Next is Vega.

I cannot remember now, was there a 470 mentioned?

I had noted that the compute units had dropped in number from the R9-390 which was interesting. I realised that there is a large area for increases in these CU's to 9 increase in number. A very large area and you just know that the top Vega will have more of them than thee Fiji chips? I feel pretty confident about this.

Hmm ... unless that ends up being the Navi chip?

At the end of the day they will both have to space out the increases in power, compute units and chip sizes until it is time to move on from both 14 and 16 nanometres and likely onto 10 nanometres?

Do this too quickly by competing too much and you end up with things being squeezed in without the proper engineering and you know what happens then, right? Things get too hot ... oooh wait a minute?!

Another things that everyone noticed very quickly was that when nVidia made their announcement o their 1070 and 1080 cards the Internet and YouTube was awash with them.

You could not move for all the videos and all the convenient memories of tech journalist fanboys, or on the payroll, for crap about how brilliant the 1070 and 1080 was. I was furious at the over use of the "2.5x" which was a load of shit and quite deliberately misleading.

AMD have an announcement and you would be doing damn well if you heard any of those same journalists so much as break wind!

Luckily and quite fortunately I was far from being the only one that noticed this.

Sorry but I think that being paid off is not only completely immoral it is the very basis for how corruption starts and is so rife. It is both expected and hated in equal measure and many times seemingly by equal amounts?

Now all I have to do is chew on my fingernails until October.

What's all that blood? Lol.

SHINING POLARIS & PASCAL IMMINENT

Yeeeaah...funny times and goings on at the moment.

I have been perusing through webpages and expecting some benchmarking to come up of the imminent GPUs from both AMD and nVidia but not much has come out.

Ohh much has been said, that is sure enough, but nothing has come out.

The first thing I noticed was nVidia's surprise and knee-jerk reaction to all the talk about AMD's Polaris and some big claims were made. Only they weren't.

'Its got double the speed of that and this amount of power compared to this' was stated a lot. Except it was not quite how it was put across.

There is no doubt that it is way too early to call anything yet but what nVidia stated themselves was that the only way you were going to see these massive boosts in performance and that was if you already had or planning to purchase imminently a Virtual Reality headset. Oh and that those threee short sentences about the nVidia 1070? What was up with that? Weird.

Many got so giddy headed that they failed to note that the up and coming nVidia 1080 GPU was around 30% up on the nVidia 980Ti. Yeah that is good ... ish. It certainly is not double!

In the red corner you have the fans by the ring side giving up theories of the advancement in power of the imminent AMD Polaris 10 GPU. Also predicting whether or not these cards will be Radeon 480's with the 'X' prefix or not and that the 480 will be as fast as the Radeon 390.

Some are saying more.

I will go on record to state I am going to side with the 'more' camp and that a fraction over a Fury card might be the case.

This is a big lithography jump and if you say that Pascal is a shrunk Maxwell card and has 30% then you can say that the new node brings 30% improvements. Except, no in AMD's case.

Because they have changed and added several things to the GCN GPUs.

They themselves have stated it is the biggest jump n their history. They are not stupid enough to repeat what happened with bulldozer which was more than many tech journalists made out anyway. Ergo, you can game on an AMD A10-7850K APU. Simply stating that you cannot game on said chip is quite simply untrue.

The same is true of the FX chips but yes they did not turn out quite as I had envisioned. I thought the very idea was sound but went wrong in the process somewhere. I also put it down to desperation because, and as I stated, the new node shrinks were taking longer than they had previously.

This even put Moore's Law on the brink of collapse, though he only stated it would last ten years and was a great prediction.

We are now on the brink of an amazing 6 months of tech gold and then some!

Two GPUs with Pascal and Polaris and then there is Zen. Throw in the node shrink and it is all good, though I am very interested indeed in the latter two from AMD. Am interested in Pascal, do not get me wrong but would be more so had they announced loads of core level changes as AMD have done.

Then there will be the HBM 2 chips and everyone keeps stating that it wont be ready until September? Err yeeeah that is HBM 2. What about HBM 1? This is just a die shrink after all which is not what HBM 2 is. Not in my opinion but I could be wrong here. These are on top of the GPUs when they are grown, so surely the same HBM is the same lithography and I see HBM 2 as having other things improved. Like the interconnects? Maybe higher stacks?

The way I see it is that the one I am more interested in waiting for, which is AMD's Vega though I am also interested in say a 1080Ti or a Titan Z and what they can do, Vega is the one I am likely to be if my theories are correct and I have read everything right?

Oh and Vega in October?! *CHOMP-CHOMP-CHOMP* Feck it! No fingernails!

Deus Ex Mankind Divided in August, Radiohead album out imminently and I even had an extra album not long ago from my very much loved Pink Floyd. Another Amused to Death style album from Roger Waters and I think I just might die this year?!

LMAO!

Oh...my...god and then there are the movies!

Oh and the Blu-Ray releases like Batman v Superman and all the info about Justice League that will come out? Doctor Strange.

Possibly a surprise Mass Effect release and I am even seeing rumours about Elder Scrolls VI Argonia and a possible release or announcement?! WHAT?!?!

Oh-oh-oh and then there are the Playstation Neo and XBTwo announcements?! Awww I can't call it X-Bone any more? Oh darn it!

So much is going to be occurring I am not sure if I will be able to keep up?!

Where did I PUT those damned blood pressure pills?!

WITCHER 3 - IMPOSSIBLE INSECTOID ... CRAB ... BOSS ... THINGEY!

LMAO!

So ... I went back to The Witcher 3 ... forgotten all the controls it had been so long and forgot about this!

Then I remembered why I had stopped playing it last time!

I clearly am not levelled up enough to beat this large Insectoid or crab like creature ... but ... I am bloody stubborn and would have given it fifty attempts and then exited the game with no interest go go back and try again. Well on the last fifty attempts that is, lol.

I think now I remember I quite the game to keep the upload small to show I am back in this game and will have to go to an earlier save before we go off to kill this thing.

The problem is I am thinking this was a mission I started and at the same time pointing out another problem, along with the tiny effects I have had on this creature, did get its life energy down to 50% at my best attempt, that ... wizard, or whatever he is, stands their attacking it for ages and has no effect on the creature whatsoever.

That's a bit pants to be honest, lol. Might as well not even be there!

Still, I will go to an earlier save, which I really hate having to do, and try and get back into this and remember where I am, what missions I had to do, where in the story I was and recall the controls, lol.

Well it has been longer than 6 months since I played it last, I did not even expect to be at home, or in the same home, about now.

And remember ... I have memory problems ... and do not take that as me being STUPID as that is not what it means.

As you can see from my other videos or my fourteen blogs ... I have a degree in applied computing and am expert in herpetology, batrachology, ichthyology, orhidaceae, astronomy, astrophysics and I even know Wing Chun.

Lol, too many people, trolls and fanboys are far too quick to make immediate assumptions about people on the Internet and I would rather just try and avoid all that up front. LMAO!

I completed Deus Ex Human Revolution again, hoping it would last me up until Mankind Divided in August, or close. But I whizzed through it far quicker than I expected too and wish I had upped the difficulty on it?!

I think I uploaded some Deus Ex stuff?

Darn it!!

I notice now my earlier prediction of the Nintendo NX is having unconfirmed leaks appearing that it is to use AMD's Polaris. Hearing this about the PS4.5 thing and the XBOne.5 too.

Well if I recall they did state when they designed the PS4 and XBOne that they did so with the idea of upgrading being easier. I did think of them improving it but thought it more likely they were talking about backwards compatibility with the PS5 and XBTwo with the previous generations for the older games.

But I also did state that in my opinion they sounded well under powered too.

All this has to do with the fact that the previous generations had been out a very long time and the chip lithography shrinkage, node shrink/chip shrink, from 28 nanometres to 16 and 14 nanometres was way, way later than previous in arriving. Unless you went solely to Intel for CPUs, way over priced, and GPUs, way underpowered, for your chips.

Yeah right, lol, no one in their right minds would do that, especially wanting to sell the machines/consoles for well under £500. You can pay double that just for a decent, not half decent but decent, Intel CPU. For me that is an 8 core, Core i7. A four core and eight thread CPU would be a half decent one in my book. But the prices! OK to begin with bit pricey but they have stayed high ...

..or at least will until AMD's Zen 6, 8 and 16 core CPUs arrive and then it will go mad for about 6 months to two years!

Surprised that the AM4 motherboards have not appeared on retail listings as they were meant to arrive in March and it is now mid April.

I could regurgitate everything that is said or leaked on here but I am not going to do that. I absolutely hate it when people and websites do that and I am always seeing the same crap over and over. If I hate it then I simply will not do this myself.

The latest seems to suggest that the Polaris chips will arrive around June or July time and Zen around October to November time?

I fully expect that these chips will be faster than the 390's by some margin. I also expect that Vega with HBM2 will arrive around December to February at the latest and will be so fast that we will have to pick up our chins?!

I fully expect a big improvement from nVidia but reading between the lines it seems likely that they will be a step behind AMD this time around? Likely not far behind but behind is what I expect them to be.

As totally natural for nVidia's Pascal to be fairly swifter than their old cards, plus rumour of them ceasing Maxwell production, along with AMD's confidence and string of design wins, companies all lining up to use Polaris and Vega, is why I am expecting old 390's to be eating the dust of Polaris 10 and 11.

I still want to wait for Vega though to pair with a 16 or 8 core Zen, whichever the larger core count turns out to be.

Though I wont be using an APU this time around I am also very interested to see an APU using Zen along with what graphics they use on the chip, how it pairs up with a graphics card on Crossfire along with all the heterogenous compute stuff, which is improved over previous APU's and I would like to see this fully exploited to see what it can do?

Imagine an AMD APU with 8 Zen cores and also able to use the cores from the integrated GPU for normal computing tasks?! I wonder if we will ever see 16 Zen cores and an integrated GPU?!

Ooh would you look at that? I have dribbled all over my keyb ... *
