FALLOUT 4 X-01 ARMOUR VIDEO

This is me managing to acquire the Brotherhood Of Steel X-01 armour in Fallout 4.

You have to be a high enough level for it to appear, or spawn, apparently and I was at Level 28 when I did this.

It seems to be a matter of luck getting this armour, which I think should not come into a video game.

I completed dozens of missions for the ungrateful Brotherhood Of Steel of Danse's group and wondered why I was not being offered promotion or armour? I then realised I was being sent to places they had previously sent me to?!

Other than caps and XP there was not much reason to persevere for so long with that one, still it was not boring. Lol.

I also do not remember having this X-01 armour in the previous Fallout titles, do not know if it was available or not? I amm sure I remember seeing it somewhere?

Not played the game using it yet and interesting to see if I can change to a human companion and get them to enter the old T-51 Armour? I will find out tonight to see if I can get Piper in it?

Ooh not much space is there Piper? Lol.

I am beginning to appreciate, however, the sheer amount of buildings within the game making things look bigger than they are and there seems to be a myriad of places to find.

I would have still liked the map bigger, mind you.

One thing I liked about New Vegas was the absolute desolated wasteland combined with a desert and sheer open spaces along with the mutated wildlife. Not many additions to the wildlife in Fallout 4 and still no Iguanas! BOO!

Anyway the armour was found in a building called Court 35 and not marked on any map and west of Clock Towers, I think it was called. Or west of that building you get sent to by the Brotherhood Of Steel with the funny french sounding name, Fenuil Hall, or something similar, lol.

Here is a video at any rate ...

I am publishing this before it has uploaded so if your here really early you might want to come back in a couple of hours?! Lol. I have to head out of the house as ususal ...

It will post automatically on YouTube ..

FALLOUT 4 & 2016 GAMING & FILMS

Well I simply do not believe it but I am playing Fallout 4! Video links to my YouTube channel are provided at the bottom.

This is for a number of reasons but one is the obvious one that it has finally come out after 5 ... umm or actually 7 years of waiting!

Another reason I did not think I would be playing this is the same reason I thought I would not be around for the very first episode in the new Doctor Who series, 29th September 2015, in that I was not supposed to be here!

In fact ever since April a little legal case regarding corruption I was indirectly involved in was ending in a few weeks. Then this got delayed several times from a week or two or a couple of months at a time. It ended, successfully of course. But not successfully for me.

I have been left high and dry and without a single scrap to vindicate myself to everything I said ... well about the case at any rate. Everything else has the necessary data ... except this one, the biggest one of all! In an unexpected way I was left high and dry. Well ... almost unexpected. Still ... gaming ..

Does not like like 7 years of work in Fallout 4 if I am honest ... but hell it is Fallout 4 and the only way it will get knocked down to an average game score for me and that is if it only lasts half as long as Elder Scrolls Skyrim did, and without the inclusion of DLC!

Hmm come to think of it though I played all the DLC for Fallout New Vegas I have not gotten around to playing the Skyrim DLCs?! Damn it!

Anyway the map looks smaller than that of Skyrim, disappointingly, and that is without any large myriads of mountains or the fact that a third of the Fallout 4 map look to be water!! Must be a hell of a lot of underground sections? Maybe a hidden city of skyscrapers? I have never been to Boston, or anywhere in the USA unfortunately, but I do not think it has them .. or many of them?

Also despite its familiarity there are no returning characters once again, though the ones they do have are good I must say. Also there lacks the ... eeriness that you got in New Vegas, like the roaring and cold sounding wind you hear in the upper floors of the Lucky 38. Or that you got in that fabulous The Divide DLC. Or the strange feeling you get on the Burning Man DLC, The Long Roads was it?

The yellowed out storms with odd coloured lightning is the closest I have gotten to a very eerie post apocalyptic feeling like those I mentioned.

Hmm cannot think of any in Fallout 3 come to think of it? Ummm OBSIDIAN?! A New New York or New Seattle please?! LMAO! Or some other location that would make a good and fitting game to the Fallout series. Oh ... that will be 3 years wait! Damn it!

Diamond city is cool and looks cool but not very big. Started to think there were no scorpions in this one but despite them turning up no lizards like the Golden Geckos as yet.

Too many of the makeshift and crappy weapons, though it makes sense in a world like this one. No sub-machine guns but repeater pistols with huge clips that empty in no time at all, meaning you kill quickly but die between clips, lol.

Power armour appears far too early for me but it does look like an inferior type so maybe there are several types to find? Never thought of this when I came across no less than four power armour suits with the first few days. It was weeks before I could get a suit in New Vegas. Do not think I got one in Fallout 3 as I was a newbie ... well a newbie to Fallout and not played PC games for over 5 years! Did not realise you could wear a suit, lol.

I have just had a thought.

Despite the map feeling small everyone says there is a lot to do, just hope i is not retreading everywhere 3 or 4 times over, which looks unlikely but just remembered the S.P.E.C.I.A.L.S wall. Now that gives the impression the game has a very long shelf life on my ... umm shelf! Desktop, lame-brain! Yes thinking about that list makes me think I have months ahead of me and should take me up to early 2016.

Maybe up until my most anticipated title of Deus Ex Mankind Divided?

As long as I am finding new places into 2016 I will be happy, at least until a DLC comes out or better still Deus Ex Mankind Divided comes out, lol.

Then hopefully Deus Ex will keep me going until Dishonoured 2 comes out and that until Homefront The Revolution comes out or vice versa?

Then hopefully Star Citizen will be finished and that will keep me going until Elder Scrolls 6 comes out? Lol.

Also there may be some brand new titles that take the world ... or just me, by storm that come out during this time period?

Oh and Mass Effect Andromeda!

Hopefully Need For Speed will be good? Fingers crossed!

A Tom Clancy game like Splinter Cell, or other single player title, with the old issues gone?

Then there is the shrinking lithography next year, 2016, and the movies like Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice, X Men Apocalypse that looks to be the first real X-Men movie since they started and then Deadpool, Gambit, Civil War, The Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange and that is without any other big films or sequels!

The mind boggles at the thought that once they are all done things like Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, Shazam, Thor Ragnarok, Captain Marvel, Justice League and the sequels to Blade Runner, Avatar, Prometheus and Interstellar could be well on their way too?!

My head spins at the thought of all this and when you look harder it is exciting to realise that we have several years like this!

Now I am well aware that the consoles hold back PC games and that this will likely now happen for a few years ... except that there have been rumours about a new Nintendo console?! Everyone refers to it as the 'NX' but if they have decided to bring something out based on the new lithography chips next year then this might not be a problem?! WOOHOO!

Instead of the PC being a third wheel to the other two big names consoles you might have anotehr pair of more powerful beats to code for ... so the incentive is there to up the graphics, map sizes, physics and artificial intelligence!

Imagine that? Nintendo becoming the PC gamer's best friend? Lol!

You see there will be two lesser machines with the PS4 and XBox One and then the PC and the NX meaning fewer letters is definitely better.

The idea of the 'NX' sounded like a crazy one until I realised this and maybe it is what Nintendo realised?

There is no time span I have read about or release date for the NX but the new lithography AMD CPUs, APUs and GPUs is mere months away. So are the nVidia GPUs.

As a matter of fact I could not help thinking that Fallout 4 was rushed out quickly when I play it and it kind of was when you think about the five months since it was announced.

Think about it ... had this arrived looking like this after Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Wildlands, The Division, Homefront The Revolution, Mass Effect Andromeda even and Star Citizen it just might have been lambasted? Maybe Bethesda realised this? Which is why it looks unfinished to me and nowhere near as big as I thought it would be? Graphics not quite where I thought they would be?

So it is still good but we might now have to wait until Elder Scrolls 6 or another Obsidian Fallout before we see the big leap many thought they would get with this one?

Only problem is even if they knew about this leap a year ago it is likely no less than 18 months and if not then as much as 3 years to wait?! Bah-humbug!

Roll on Deus Ex!

THE WINDOWS FALLOUT

OK I have ten minutes to kill so that my anti-nausea drugs, Metoclopramide Hydrochloride, kick in and allow me to play Fallout 4!

I was going to go straight into it but it wont let me and this has happened a couple of times along with some other weird things, like my Roccat keyboard remaining lit when the computer is off.

In fact before I write a bit about Fallout 4 and my initial impressions I started this because I wanted to point out that Windows 10 has started to play up with some very odd things.

First off is that Steam does not always start up when Windows does and refuses to run when I try to run it?! Only happened last 24 hours and only runs if I restart Windows.

As for starting or restarting Windows 10 there is another couple of odd things it has started doing and I am wondering whether they have all been pissed down at Microsoft? Or have all contracted some virus that makes them delirious or hallucinate? Because sometimes when it starts up the 'Number Lock' is on and sometimes it is off.

The other odd thing it has started doing is making the old Windows start up sound on occasion and the Windows 10 start up sound the rest of the time?!

What the FUCK?!

Oh and my typing has gone to pot on my computer too, which now makes one Android phone, one Windows phone and now my PC whereby letters get addedd … THERE! I am leaving that in and it just added an extra 'd' on the end of 'added' and I actually watched it do thi! Oh and it missed an 's' now! LOL!

I find it impossible to be a coincidence that two devices I have typed things out without issue for years with one and twenty years for another are both now doing odd things when using them to type! This was already beyond coincidence before throwing in another Android phone and a Windows Phone too!

But then I have upset a great deal of powerful people and organisations with my blogs on corruption so having someone interfering with my stuff is not some weird and crazy conspiracy theory idea but a highly likely one.

Evidence has gone missing in the post about a court case and that evidence is still faling to arrive in any shape or form! I have some elves and minions now to help out so I am leaving that for others to chase up.

Now for Fallout 4 …

It is good and when it runs, a Windows 10 and/or Steam problem, and has not acted up at all with no crashes or anything else thus far. In fact it has run better than New Vegas and I bought the Game Of The Year Edition so should have had everything ironed out by then. New Vegas would crash sometimes on a loading screen.

As for the game itself, yes it is good but I have noted some annoying things and some disappointing ones.

Sorry but to me the map does seem small and this for me was a major disappointment. Added to that the collision detection is off, Molotov Cocktails want to explode whenever anything is nearby! While on the subject of Molotov Cocktails many groups want to just keep hurling them at you, Super Mutants for sure, and can throw them a bloody long way whereas you throw them like a ten year old schoolgirl!

The Brotherhood of Steel Power Armour now needs a nuclear battery and I did not realise and ran out of power in the middle of nowhere. Oddly this was while trying to figure out how I had managed to get the armour so bloody early in the game and use it without any training?

Admittedly the other games you got it real late in the game, which was far too late to enjoy it, while this one you get it too early.

The graphics are better than the previous Fallouts by some margin, however that do not look like more than a couple of steps beyond that of Skyrim. Considering the period of time between these two games that is something of a disappointment.

AT least the weapons and use of them have improved!

I heard some reviewers on YouTube claim that there is a hell of a load to do in the game, trying to talk it up due to the small map. Really? There must be a city or two in ruins somewhere with a myriad of bog buildings to roam around in and a huge underground section or two I have not come across yet?

Also the draw distance looks like that of the old games, nowhere near far enough!

Other than that I am enjoying it so far and maybe it will pick up a great deal in time? Maybe I will be playing it in a couple of months time like I did with Skyrim but looking at the map I have doubts I will be playing this in a months time?

The loading sections are also very Skyrim looking, which reminds me of a guy who text in to PC Gamer stating he or she hoped it was “...not a Skyrim v2.0 Boogaloo remix!”. That remark made me laugh and raised an eyebrow as 'Boogaloo' sounded like a track that could dhave been missing from Jean Michel Jarre's Zoolook album.

I did like Nick Valentine as a companion, thought it was James Woods doing the voice at first and then got annoyed at how many times he was telling me that my dog, Dogmeat, has a good nose on him! Yeah … repeatedly told by a bloody Android that dogs have good senses of smell? Really?!

LOL!

I am not sure if there has been a huge amount of disappointed fans over things like the map size and graphics but had this been released in 6 to 12 months there could well have been mass disappointment. I cannot work out why the map is actually smaller than Skyrim's?!

The other game I am very seriously looking forward to and probably more than or at least the same amount of anticipation of that of Fallout 4 is Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

Now Deus Ex Human Revolution was only several things away from being the greatest game ever made for me!

  • Graphics
  • Map Sizes and lack of Open World as such
  • Length … and stupid BOSS sections
  • Lack of Animal Life
  • Carry Amounts
  • Not many Weapons

Now the follow up to Human Revolution, Mankind Divided, may have a crap sub-title like its predecessor but the footage and pictures look out of this world!

If they correct the shortcomings of Human Revolution as I have listed above then my blood God this could be deliriously awesome!!

I played one or more of the early Deus Ex's, despite morons on YouTube popping at me and calling me a newbie, and even have a copy of Invisible War here. Hmm yes, I played both now I think about it. But what they did with the reboot, HR, was damned awesome and because …

It had …

  • Style
  • Main Title
  • Characters
  • Story and Twists
  • Awesome Augments
  • Atmosphere and …
  • Fantastically atmospheric Music

Never looked into whether it got awards for any of the above but music and style it should have won awards for, that is for certain! If it didn't the awards are fixed! Err … are there awards for these things?! Lol!

Had Deus Ex Mankind Divided been launched in a few weeks of December I could easily see Fallout 4 being ditched for some time while playing the next Deus Ex.

SIGH maybe the next Fallout 5 might be the perfect Fallout? Oddly enough that because it does like like Skyrim v2.0 and due to the fact that next year, 2016, is going to be flooded with new faster CPUs and GPUs that will be revolutionary I think that the next game will be the one that blows everyone away.

The lithography, or size of transistors in chips, shrinks by a fair amount, Intel does not figure in this at all. Intel already shrunk theirs but despite tech journalists paid to crow about there stuff the last three versions of their Core i3 to Core i7 have not been big leaps. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Oh I am sure that when the AMD CPU, APU and Graphics Cards come out on the new lithography you will suddenly see Intel stuff they have been holding back while they rip you off for their underwhelming crap? That is Intel from start to present day I am afraid.

That next game with the graphics to blow us away is, of course, will be Bethesda's other title, Elder Scrolls 6.

For me these two Bethesda properties of Fallout and Elder Scrolls are the games that all others need to beat with Deus Ex being the only exception.

I think its the open world and concentration on single player that wins them over. The Dead Islands were OK, apart from big trucks on a single short bloody road, as were the Borderlands but its so co-op focused it ruins them a little bit.

Dying Light was better but though the interest did last it started to get boring a little over half way through. The weapon crafting and may melee and using swords in it was second to none.

I certainly hope that the map of Elder Scrolls 6 will be a fair bit bigger than Fallout 4? Maybe the map of the latter wont be a problem as I play the game. But there is just something about exploring open worlds, if done right, that is so addictive.

I feel a little guilty I did not mention Dragon Age Inquisition and FarCry but the former got the looting all wrong and the latter had annoying and linear missions. Both these titles got ignored for weeks on end or months on end and not because there was something else I wanted to play either.

With Dragon Age Inquisition I absolutely loved it but I ended up with the best sword around half way through the game, looting them became boring. I felt like I was bending over most of the time and felt like a gardening game. It was also too short, despite the boring looting.

With FarCry this was ignored for completely different reasons and was out of rage, lol. Yup I will be honest it drove me nuts to the point of expletives many, many times. I then ignored it for months.

The day before I bought Fallout 4, the 10th November 2015, I completed FarCry 3 finally and the day before that I completed Dragon Age Inquisition which included some romantics and sexy romps with Cassandra.

Now why can't I find a woman like that?! LMAO!

Oooh I forgot?! Bethesda's other title, Dishonoured!

A third classic but not quite up there with the other two but it has a sequel on the way! Ooh boy do I hope that one leaps forwards on the last two have open worlds like the other three I love?! Oooh boy, do I dream of that happening, or what?! Lol!

There is of course the title that Dishonoured sort of feels like, Thief. That reboot could get a sequel though I have not seen or heard anything of one just yet. I loved Deadly Shadows so much. The reboot looked great but need bigger maps, greater longevity and a few tweaks here and there.

Now my drugs have had a chance to kick in and I am off to reboot my PC to play Fallout 4!

Ooh yeah and I must get umm … the AMD Raptr thing to work again so I can record my playing for YouTube! Bloody Raptr and bloody Windows 10! Lol!

DEUS EX MANKIND DIVIDED

Leaving Fallout and Elder Scrolls alone my next favourite IP simply had to be Deus Ex.

In fact it might be a surprise to read that despite me owning two each of the main two Bethesda titles I actually own two Deus Ex titles too. But the only one other than Human Revolution was some time ago and is Deus Ex Invisible War. I am sure I played the first installment too and whenever I see the cover to it I remember it.

Not sure what happened to that case and disk.

I loved Human Revolution despite its flaws. One of these flaws was, as others have stated, the boss battles. But these were only annoying due to the fact that you sometimes needed a particular ability to defeat the boss. If you had no praxxis available and did not have the ability required you simply would not get through it.

The other thing I hated about it was the small maps and the game being short. Not as short as done admittedly but when you get a title you really like playing you want it to last and last.

So I was excited to hear that a follow up to Hunan Revolution was on the way and called Mankind Divided. The demo looked good desire the fact it was not a gameplay demo. Another one popped up at E3 in the early days. No gameplay though.

Tonight I was playing Fallout New Vegas as I reinstalled it to me about with some mods and then realised there was a section I never completed. I was shocked I failed to spot this earlier!

While I was playing a Steam message popped up to state that Square Enix and Eidos had shown a gameplay demo. But I only caught it briefly and thought I had read wrong?

When I realised I had played Fallout to until midnight again I came out the game and looked at my tablet PC while lying on my bed.

Bloody hell! There was a gameplay demo and what a body demo it was?!

Below is a link to the demo I watched on YouTube that lastest around 25 minutes and I watched every second of it! Probably watch it again tomorrow on my main desktop machine.

The graphics and style looked amazing and it appears at first glance like the maps will be bigger. The previous maps looked and felt claustrophobic. It looked like a massive open world but it was not. This looked extremely cool. Uber-cool!

Oddly another tithe I like suffered the same and is also getting a sequel and for that we had back to Bethesda.

Dishonored.

I cannot believe a thought that went through my head as I watched the demo of the next Deus Ex. 'This might actually have a chance at surpassing Fallout 4 as my favourite game?!'

Both Deus Ex and Dishonored I found to be very stylish and with good story lines.

If these two along with Fallout 4 turned out to be bigger than The Witcher 3 the Wild Hunt I still think I've died and gone to heaven!

I also can't help but wonder, though I don't it, if a new IP might pop up between now and 2016 to equal any of these four titles?

To add to such a fantastic set of titles would be fantastic. I might actually doubt this but then I remind myself that three of these four are Bethesda titles. Imagine if each publisher could produce three titles to rival Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Dishonored?

Square Enix now look like they might have one.

Dragon Age was a bit but and miss, good ... even brilliant in places but it just lacked something. Well I think it lacked one thing to make it truly great and equal to Fallout and Elder Scrolls. The loot and weapons.

Will Mass Effect Andromeda rival the Bethesda titles? Could be, we will have to wait and see.

In the meantime this demo of Deus Ex Mankind Divided looks super cool!

THE TIMES AMAZING

I am going to have a very good year.

In fact I am going to have a few very, very good years!

Not only an I mere weeks away from turning my scenery upside down and inside out for the foreseeable future but a number of cool things are going to happen within this first year of this happening?!

I cannot really go into detail about the humongous scenery change that is going to take place but it won't be too long now.

But what I want to mention that I am excited about are a couple of other things, one briefly and the other in more detail.

The brief thing, because it's not really the subject of this blog, is an upcoming film in the spring of 2016. This is of course the Batman V. Superman Dawn of Justice film.

I might not look like it in the flesh out sound like it but I am a bit of a nerd. Well that's what they seem to call people like me anyway, lol. I was a big comic reader of both Marvel and DC. Loved both Superman and Batman but was a huge collector of the Justice League comic.

The trailer to this film had to be about the best trailer I've ever seen fit a film! I don't say that lightly.

Yes I had a few issues with The Man Of Steel but on the whole I loved it.

Dawn of Justice is, for those I cannot imagine not knowing, leads onto the Justice League movie. I have had some issues with Aquaman ... well not looking like Aquaman in shots I've seen, but it's early days. They seem to have got it right with Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne so anything is possible.

Very interested in the Marvel movies of Civil War, not big fan of Cap to be honest and still not bought Winter Soldier, but if Spider Man is in it with Iron Man and dive by Marvel then my soul is sold! Lol!

Unfortunately my other favourites have either been ruined consistently or not covered fully or ... merely rumoured. Respectively these are of course X-Men (ruined the greatest story in Marvel Comics), Silver Surfer (ruined by same studio that is ruining Fantastic Four presently but not big fan of FF) and Shazam (keep hearing people mention he is in Justice League).

Leaving the world of amazing movies I now lead into another big form of entertainment. One that like movies has seen spits and starts in recent years but I think now will follow the movie industry in stepping up a gear?

Video games.

I say 'step up a gear' because the rumours seem to have been confirmed after I did something I rarely do. Watch a showcase! I don't even normally see any E3 videos until way after the event ... if at all!

I bloody well did this time around and E3 had not even started officially!

I am speaking about Bethesda's E3 special.

Sorry to fanboys of other titles but nothing had ever grabbed me as much as Elder Scrolls and Fallout. They start the game in such a cool way and I had goosebumps in entering the world for the first time in both titles.

Not only did you get to see some amazing Fallout 4 stuff and gameplay but as I thought the title will be released this year. Added to this you had Doom, which looked amazing, and Dishonoured 2, which also looked amazing!

Not played Doom since the early days and the Quake titles too. But watching the gameplay it removed me of the old days but with better graphics! Cool!

I loved Dishonoured. I purchased the Game Of The Year edition and I only had two complaints with it. The maps were too small and the game was too short! Better graphics, larger open world and longer ... err much longer and I'm in heaven!

What's more is that come November, this year, I will be embroiled with Fallout 4 for months. Not long after will be the Batman V Superman and likely not long after that I would wager Elder Scrolls 6 well be announced, likely at the next E3?!

After all they always start the follow up of a title after finishing the current one. What seems quick to me was playing Fallout 3, Skyrim and New Vegas. The new generation engine is done in Fallout 4 so not a long shot to think a year to 18 months to Elder Scrolls?

How cool is that? How cool is all of that?!

I note think that we are entering a period of the next two to four years of some amazingly cool movies and games. Doctor Strange is another big favourite of mine, though I'm buggered off I can remember details of his stories. The things coming are already so cool it's staggering and then there are ask the little gems that will pop up, or get released even, we did not even hear about?

You just know this is going to happen ... several times over a year to 18 months.

There are other titles, of both recent and distant times, that could get the next gen graphics and open world scenarios of Fallouts/Elder Scrolls/The Witcher 3 that could send us all bonkers?!

Oh my bloody God! I almost forgot Deus Ex Mankind Divided?!

Oh man! Excuse me a moment while I composed myself?! Lmao! Hmm thinking of other titles I really like. Hmm ... ooh Need For Speed! Hour the new one is cool? So need a racer. Oh God ... Star Citizen?! How they come up with better title, lol. Sounds like a Goat Simulator in space! Lol! Still it's about the coolest endeavour out there only rivalled by Fallout 4 for me.

Yeah the driving games did not really do it for me, like Project Cars and umm ... the other one. Elite Dangerous surprisingly did not do it for me either. Oh yes and there is the lack of flight simulators outside of the Eagle Dynamics titles. I'm going way back again here by mentioning Falcon (Rowan), Total Air War (Digital Image Design) and Comanche. I miss titles like that and nothing out there really appeals. Flaming Cliffs 3 did but that took forever ... err probably still is?! Lol!

So yes a cool time and the fact that space sims have and are returning maybe flight sims week too?

This is skirting with the words 'Golden Age' for the next year and maybe ... just maybe it will dive right in?

FALLOUT 4 OFFICIAL TRAILER

I don't believe it!

I was not existing this!

I thought it was a joke and fake fan video but the first link on Google had a trailer for Fallout 4 and being top was odd. Added to this it stated 'Bethesda Softworks' at the bottom. So I clicked on it.

I just watched a very awesome trailer!

Oddly I had played The Witcher 3 for the first time in several days and managed to get through a boss, though I will warn fanboys now that yet another problem occurred, lol.

Anyway I managed to get through the boss and grab dinner great and get back to a village. Can't remember it's name, the one with the Baron. I saved the game and was lying on my bed with my crappy, big ridden and curiously stuttering Tegra 4 tablet PC and decided to see a search for any Fallout 4 buzz, what with E3 getting ever closer.

Not only does the trailer for Fallout 4 look fabulous they even look like they are not far from a launch date as they are showing the boxes for the platforms of PS4, XBOX ONE and PC!

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/06/03/fallout-4-officially-revealed-by-teaser-site

Fantastic!

Now bizarrely there was someone ranting at comments that the graphics were crap?! Were they bloody pisses?!

If any of these are those lunatic The Witcher 3 fanboys who seen to feel like they have to call you names when you do not agree it's the best game in the world, it isn't, and point out faults and complain shot them, found another big one today, I will rip them a new one.

The graphics in The Witcher 3 don't look realistic in any way shape or form, the end. It looks like a water colour painting. It's pretty and colourful but not as good as several other games.

For those that do not know I have a passion for nature from animals to plants and I have several blogs about them and always in forests, swamps, lakes, ponds, dunes and all manner of other things.

I don't feel I'm in a forest ... hmm suddenly I'm trying to think if I saw any trees that actually looked like trees? Lol, well you know, big trees?

Maybe it will change as I venture further in the map but it mostly looks very similar either with water at your feet or not, lol.

Now I'm wondering when Fallout 4 might appear?!

Typical that I have to go away and I'm betting it will appear on the shelves while I am away?

I think I will go and look at that trailer once more!

THE BUZZ AROUND E3 2015

I simply had to do a post about the upcoming E3 in this year of 2015.

This is partly because there has been a great deal of talk and a mountain of rumours the likes of which I have never seen before.

There is so much talk about hardware that this alone is exciting what with virtual reality so close to being finalised as well as Microsoft and this Holo Lens gadget they have been working on that looks cool. Finally something similar to that seen in Iron Man films and The Minority Report.

Then there are the games rumours!

I have had trouble keeping track of everything and I seem to be finding out about something new every few days to a week.

I have stated before that I am excited over Star Citizen and that I have been around long enough in gaming, almost worked for Pivotal Games at one point, that I played the Wing Commander games and Freelancer.

I could honestly say that seeing Chris Roberts video about what he had been up to actually provoked me into building a new rig for the first time in quite awhile!

Frustrating that it is so far away from release.

I was also excited about Elite Dangerous but then started worrying about their announcement of no single player campaign and reviews by players static its galaxy wide and three inches deep, or something to that effect. Wanting to buy it to fill time until I go away over a humongous court case which will shock the nation I ended up buying Dying Light instead. Recommended by a brother who was always into consoles but made the jump to a PC.

As well as those two space sims there is also No Man's Sky which looks interesting but not too sure about. Now I find out about one more!

Starfighter Inc.

Here is the link to the Kickstarter page for StarFighter Inc. ...

It is another Kickstarter project but this one has huge kudos behind it because its largely made up of the team that worked on the X-Wing and Tie Fighter series. A couple of guys also that worked on Crysis, Homefront, FarCry and a few others.

About bloody time some space sims got made and as well as them being missing there has been no flight sims for years either, the latter being what made me get into computers in the first place because I was obsessed with fighter aircraft, wanted to be one when I was a kid and had a famous great grandfather who was a test pilot. He worked for Avro and the RAF and was testing an aircraft called the Avro Manchester which they tried several engines with but it crashed and he died. They added two more engines after this fatality and the Avro Lancaster was born.

But I like a great deal of games and was obsessed with 3D also and owned one of the early Voodoo cards. I went through two if I remember correctly.

There are many games I love and fond of, despite some driving me nuts at times and I wondered what the designers where thinking of ... or smoking in some areas.

Some seem to be almost perfect but missing vital things. Like when I played Dead Island Riptide, and now Dying Light. I will now always remember Kick Zombie ... sorry I mean Riptide because I did not understand the game, frustrated the hell out of me and I left it alone for months. Then one day I went back to it and realised it was not just a game where you pick up a slightly better gun every now and then and you had to make cash and build weapons. Weapons that were mostly hand to hand close range stuff in a melee fashion. This to me was kinda knew and once I realised how it worked the game was transformed into something bloody fun.

The not so large map, well I did play Elder Scrolls Skyrim before this, looked pretty good and it made me wonder about how the next generation version would look. However it did feel like it was missing something to make it feel like a living breathing place to roam around. Something you get in Skyrim and Fallout ... animals. Wildlife. Ooh I just remembered I did see fish in Dying Light, lol.

As well as being surprised and falling in love with Bethesda and their two biggest properties in Elder Scrolls and Fallout I also loved Deus Ex Human Revolution but another one I was confused how to play to begin with. I did also like The Witcher but this was the most frustrating of all the games with some pretty horrible boss fights along with regularly being confused about what to do next and where to go. Some things being seeming impossible to find.

I also liked Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and noted there was nothing really about. I was interested in Project Cars but wanted something more open world. I also liked Dishonoured but in all honesty and even though I bought the game of the year edition with all DLC I thought it was way, way too short and with very small maps.

After the free running of Dying Light I am not interested in the Mirror's Edge series, lol.

Here is a list of things I have heard are coming at E3 or otherwise ...

Fallout 4 (I am betting game play)
Elder Scrolls 6 (I am betting cinematic rumour behind closed doors)
Deus Ex Mankind Divided (oh man am I excited over this)
Homefront: The Revolution (looks and sounds cool)
Star Citizen (looks and sounds the coolest)
Starfighter Inc. (could be surprise hit and BE the coolest?)
Dishonoured 2 (large open world map and plenty side quests and could be great)
Mirror's Edge 2 (sounds cool)
Mass Effect 4 (whats this? Oh just my heart stopping!)
New Need For Speed (Good one would be super cool especially if open world maps)
Cyberpunk 2077 (sounds cool but Witcher drove me nuts)
New Splinter Cell (as above lol, have blacklist and its BAD in places but super cool the rest of the time!)

I have included the unlikely title of Elder Scrolls 6 because it might not be that unlikely. I would have imagined that after the success of the last two Fallouts and the Elder Scrolls that Bethesda may have been able to expand their capabilities. There team, so to speak. Or pulled in other software houses that they may have previously worked with?

Like music label companies the publishing houses would be dead keen to get up to date versions of both of the two biggest and most popular properties out of the door and onto the shelves. You can bet your sweet arse that they would have been pushing for this and to achieve that you would need a bigger team or working with another software house.

I am sure you wont see anything more than some screen shots or some artwork or title, if that. But it may not be so long after Fallout 4 that you see the next Elder Scrolls released. Just my guess.

You just need to look at BioWare. Dragon Age Inquisition is still a new game but we know that Mass Effect 4 is coming and will likely see at at the E3 event. I would imagine that Bethesda is a bigger team now than BioWare and with them doing the old one-two with their two properties it simply is not implausible that Bethesda will do the same.

They also have that little event they announced that takes place a couple of days before E3 itself starts and this intrigues me no end. Yes an announcement of a Fallout 4 would be pretty big news but this in itself warranting a standalone event? No. Also makes it more unlikely when you hear about the fact that they have invited a bunch of people to see some stuff behind closed doors.

Fallout 4, they say it is that they are showing and not in game footage. Hmm ... yes quite bizarre. No I wonder if the surprise might turn out to be that the showing behind closed doors of not in game footage may well be something else. I think Fallout 4 will take centre stage and not shown behind closed doors. It is its own standalone event after all.

So a cinematic piece for what then, I wonder? Maybe that little thing behind closed doors might just be an Elder Scrolls 6 peak? I think its possible, as apparently it has happened before I read somewhere, that Fallout 4 is more or less done and the release will be sooner than expected and at the same time announce that Elder Scrolls is well on its way too and not far behind?

Bah! Maybe its just wishful thinking? Lol.

I do like to try to deduce little puzzles and am normally quite good at it. However much of that energy has gone into dozens and dozens of other areas all of which I allowed no margin for error. This will become extremely clear on my corruption blog and oddly enough within the next couple of weeks!

It is also about time we saw a load of stuff in the next generation of graphics and are long overdue it in my opinion. So it seems both likely and quite exciting that a Tsunami of announcements is upon us.

My head is spinning looking at that list alone and all I keep thinking is that most of that is likely to appear and a few things that were unexpected too?

In just three weeks we will find out and oddly I have my own exciting things going on that may lead me to head out of town for ... well an unknown length of time that could be ... well long.

I will still post about things and still be keeping an eye on events at E3.

However if I hear of a new decent flight simulator or two based on F22's, F35's or EFA along with maybe Apaches or Comanches I may not be able to post due to heart failure?!

THE IMMEDIATE FUTURES

I have to go out shortly ... to vote in my first ever General Election, in the UK if your from another county, lol.

I have a little time to kill and I was thinking about my playing Dying Light and that it is the only one I run on my PC presently. Now as we are into May, 2015, this started me thinking what it might be that I play next? I then started thinking about the next generation of GPUs, from AMD, in the form of the Radeon R9-390 and the CPUs that now must be within a year from release? As the Carrizo seems to be only mobile this means that the next step on the horizon is the often quoted Zen chip.

This has excited me, I have to admit, because all the signs are that this is going to be good and as the bulldozer design was good in some ways but only not so much in others this will be huge step forward.

My system runs on Kaveri, the AMD A10-7850K and I do not buy into much of the stuff fanboys seem to spout. Because that which they are using their PCs for wont see a difference to the naked eye.

In fact I can now tell you of an example I have only just remembered!

A game playing brother visited me a couple of days back and he also plays Dying Light only he has had issues with his one and had to limit the game to ... wait for it ... 30 frames per second to stop it juddering about something awful.

Now I was suprised to hear this for reasons I will go into in the next paragraph and let me tell you it will be a surprise, but I told him I had no issues at all and I was running everything on maximum. We were both surprised. Why?

The game is supposed to run better on nVidia graphics and you get the logo at the start. But his uses an AMD FX-8350 now, as he picked one up for £80. He also now has the nVidia 970 Maxwell card, the Strix model I believe.

Err unless you failed to pick up on it I have an AMD A10-7850K which has half the cores his does and a lower frequency. Oh my card? That would be an older than Maxwell Radeon R9-280. No 'X', just a 280.

He saw my game running and was shocked to see it running so well with half the CPU cores and a slower GPU!!

I built my system to play games on and I knew it would do that. But I knew also that in a couple of years there would be some new shiny kit I would want. There was nothing out that made me want to buy it, when I built mine, other than so very over priced kit from Intel. Eight cores and those expensive motherboards would have been the only other way to go. But the price! To see n o difference unless some software was running some numbers in front of my face. Something I grew out of and grew tired of some years ago now. The only time I want to see these numbers is when a new CPU or GPU is released. Then I want to see them only to compare them with the older versions and the rivals versions. That still interests me a great deal but unlike many I do not then hold onto the fact that one set of numbers is lower than mine, in case of a rival chip, and hard on about it.

So yes Intel is faster presently but you wont see it and it means that AMD have to focus on getting things better. Meaning that during 2016 there will be new and fast Zen processors that will then force Intel to bring out better gear. Something Intel fan-idiots would not otherwise get until probably 2019.

So yeah it is a bit of an exciting time but a bit of patience is needed.

We are now getting into a period whereby a new Fallout game is due which will mean that an Elder Scrolls game will follow before very long. The fact this has been under wraps for so long tells me that the games are likely coded for the next chips like the nVidia 980 Maxwell and the Radeon R9-390's.

By the time we have digested these announcements and any new titles not seen on the horizon then Zen will be staring us in the face.

The one thing I have found is that despite the new generation consoles and all the software houses harping on about coding for all platforms being easier ... well there has not been a great deal of stuff coming out. The graphics departments only seemed to be incremental too. As opposed to revolutionary that is.

Now I have a sneaky suspicion that Fallout 4, or whatever it will be called, will change this to a greater degree. All we need is something that changes things to a greater degree and then we now that everything that follows will be the same ... err to a degree, lol.

A new Deus Ex in Mankind Divided was pleasing to me in a big way. In a few weeks Fallout 4 could stand beside Deus Ex Mankind Divided in a dreamy vision of the not too distant future. Over the next 6 months I dare say there will be more.

There is still the Dead Island 2 game to come out that I am particularly interested in reading the reviews of, due to the love of the combat of Dead Island and Dying Light and curiosity ... well because of Dead Island and Dying Light, lmao!

Oh yeah and then there is Star Citizen!

Oh and I am waiting to see what Project Cars will be like along with the next Need For Speed title, I need a good car game since Hot Pursuit ... err 2? Lol.

Oh a good combat flight simulator would be nice too, based on an EFA, F22 or F35 or preferably all three!

Yes my games catalogue needs more diversity! It is great having two of three FPS games and RPG games but something very different to go with them like driving of flight simulation would be cool. I cannot think of anything to buy in all honesty.

Hopefully and soon I will be utterly spoiled for choice?!

Here's hoping!

DYING LIGHT ZOMBIE SLAUGHTER

Currently I am in a state of limbo ... and expectation.

To explain this here would go on too long and it is covered .. on my corruption blog.

To cut a long story short I am on the fourth day of the final five days of a long court case I have known the end dates of since Easter Sunday.

This has been dragging on over two years closer to three.

I knew from day one it was ... massive. The defendant, lets say my 'friend', has been transformed from accused to accuser and in a big way. This involves four large public services, corruption and a cover up of the worst kind and front page national tabloid subjects in each case and then some.

So in a limbo then.

I had thought about getting a new game title to fill in the gaps, as the weather has taken a turn for the worst too.

Oops, got held up by a phone-call about more corruption. A lot closer to home this time.

No, so I was wondering what to do to fritter away the time for about a week and I considered getting Elite Dangerous. After all my joystick is gathering up dust and what a sad state of affairs the PC gaming world is when you cannot find a title to use a joystick with? Lol.

Before long the same will be said about my Logitech G27 Racing Wheel! Well unless either Project Cars comes out and is good or that Need For Speed title I was reading about and cannot remember its subtitle name.

Now I kept hearing and reading some very good things about Dying Light.

Now I had initially disliked Dead Island Riptide and stopped playing it for a fair old while before returning to it to look at why I found it so hard. Before long I realised that the standard First Person Shooters had evolved somewhat and way beyond that I last played like the Dooms, Quakes, Return to Castle Wolfensteins and Fears. A hell of a lot!

Suddenly the terms I was reading about 'survival horrors' started to make sense and I started getting the hang of things. I had no idea about the weapon creation aspect of these games and was killed every five minutes trying to run around the place to discover where the guns all were! Lol! Of course those that know these games would realise that my ranges for discovering guns grew bigger and bigger and so dying became more and more frequent.

Before long I realised that using swords and baseball bats were not only the way to go and what you had to do but were a lot more fun too! I had never seen melee combat with a non-projectile weapon done as well as this before! If that was not more than enough to astound me imagine the smile on my face when I got my first long staff (love Wing Chun) and then when I got my first Katana?!

Hilarious laughing ensued and I could not wait to run around the next corner into a sea of zombies!

Then I modded the hell out of several Katanas.

Then it was over.

After playing Skyrim for months on end I was disappointed at how quickly Riptide ended and the size of the maps. 'Imagine that combat system in the next Elder Scrolls?!' was a thought I regularly repeated in my head.

Now being as Dying Light was ... well Dying Light and not Dead Island 2 I was not sure if it would be the same system and in fact did not even read references to Katanas for a fair old while.

Also with this Parkour movement, or free running as its more commonly known as, I was not sure would be done that well. Often new ideas on paper do not translate well to the finished article and not just in gaming either.

So I would often peruse the Steam store and read through some gamers reviews and one thing eventually stood out a mile. You had to hit the 'add more reviews' button under Dying Light several times and still all the reviews were glowing. I was going to say find a negative review but I cannot recall if I found one.

Raves about the bigger maps were aplenty, though now I realise they are way bigger than Riptide but still behind the biggest titles like Skyrim, Fallout and Dragon Age Inquisition.

So I took the plunge and bought it through Steam.

This was also a bit annoying as I am someone who is tactile and I like to have a hard copy and a case sitting on my shelf, even just to pick it up in a few years time and smile over the memories, lol. But a check of Amazon and my local Game store resulted in no hard copies other than the 'Be the Zombie Edition'. Umm...no thanks, lol.

Anyway the game is great, though not perfect.

Annoying trying to climb onto a ridge to get away from a pack of zombies that looks like a hundred others I have been up and unable to and then dying.

Also there was a point when the game, literally, changed dramatically without warning and suddenly I was being ambushed by large groups of the super fast zombies who can dodge your swings. Resulting in dying repeatedly.

Parts of maps are confusing on how to get to some quest points that appeared as if I had to work my way through a sea of zombies in a tunnel to get to it only to get confused on the other side and ... well die repeatedly. I gave up on that three task mission because there seem to be no way to get to it and ... well towns or cities are just not that confusing, especially on foot!

Oh and then there are the on hit kills...something happens suddenly and without any sound your hit from behind by something and your dead. Not even a chance to turn around and see what it was. One hit kills like that are infuriating.

Also the one other thing is the zombies when they grab you...there is a tiny window of your reach, and I am talking about longer reach weapons here, and then being close enough to grab you meaning you have to stab a key other than the three your fingers are on. Stabbing in the dark. Lol. This is obviously one of those console cross over things I wish to god they would leave with the consoles.

Still, once I find a Katana that will cease to be a problem, lol.

Other than those few everything else works very well. Graphics are noticeably better than Riptide but not quite as good as I thought they would be.

Now I did do an earlier video which recorded for a fair old while before I realised the counter had stopped. I then could not find said video and forgot to record any others until last night.

So here are a couple of videos of my in a gas station looking for Bus batteries and dispatching zombies and I think there is a section at night where I wait for morning to get to a supply drop ...

Oh yeah and those ... bloody annoying supply drops. Things are so hectic you fail to notice when they are dropped most of the time. You get half way there taking damage only to see they have been stolen.

Added to this I waited it out at night because one landed nearby.

I got to the building it was on and was the only one there and was walking around the base of the building, turned out to have a quest inside it where you wipeout the zombies, and while figuring out how to get up there that damned message came up 'Airdrop Stolen'?!

Oh? By, WHO?! WILLOW THE WHISP?!

Suddenly my brain now ignores the airdrops because your not racing against the thugs to get to them your racing against an imaginary timer you cannot see. This was not implemented very well.

Techland have continued to improve on their games and even Gunslinger was good, just way too short. But before they reach heights of titles like Dragon Age Inquisition, Skyrim, Fallout and Deus Ex they have to be a bit more focused in implementing some of their ideas.

Maybe the next one may reach gaming nirvana but that focus for me is now on the news that Deus Ex Mankind Divided, follow up to Human Revolution, is on its way. Also I have a funny feeling that in just 6 weeks time we are going to find out that Fallout 4 is also on its way. With this and the possibility that Dead Island 2 has the possibility to exceed Dying Light, only a possibility mind and not one I think it will do but hope it does, it truly is a very good time to be a gamer. Finally we may see that initial Tsunami of next generation games on the titles we have all been waiting for?

However with Techland and Dying Light the sound is one area they need absolutely no help with. Moody, spooky and with a John Carpenter like sound that makes you feel like you in a classic zombie film just like Riptide.

DISHONOURED FINISHED

Well that was quick!!

It seems that there are far, far more and greater differences between this title and Bethesda's other two big titles than you would be aware!

First of I liked it but , oh my God did it have enough flaws or not and though I still have the two, well it says three but I will go with two, extra mission packs that I have issues with before even playing them!

Right for me what was the most annoying problem with Dishonoured was the idiot idea of the story and characters altering how the speak or respect you based on how many people you kill or let live!

UMM STUPID!!!

Your not given enough to achieve this and many times its impossible to achieve anyway. I would also imagine that this would take far more repetition that would drive you insane to achieve this. This was already bordering on ridiculous especially the number of times I entered a building without being spotted at all and found two groups of assailants in both directions in neighbouring rooms with one who walks into your room and spots you immediately?!

Number of sleeper darts on this occasion? None! Maximum number you could get away with not killing in this situation? ONE! Ability to back off out the building and pick up sleeper darts? NONE!

This is of course forgetting the fact that these people want to dice you up at every turn, blow you to bits and throw you to the rats! I was really effing annoyed when the boatman Samuel, who I really liked as a character, told me he would 'let me go this time' and 'why was I so brutal'?!

The person that wrote these ideas in must have been a stoned hippie, for sure!

The game was not just way too short it was bloody MILES too short! Exactly the sort of gamer I learned to dislike.

Sorry but I think games this short are not worthy of a £50 price tag when new, nor £40 or even £30!

Elder Scrolls and Fallouts, yes though they could still do with bigger maps and slightly more longevity!

The funny thing is that it is rife and commonly known that the parent companies want you using their stuff and titles and not someone elses. Everyone knows this. So why they have never strived to make games last longer and reducing the waiting time between finishing one title and then acquiring its follow up is utterly lost on me! Never understood that.

I find it funny that since I first got into gaming I watched as games got shorter and shorter and eventuially becomiung ridiculous, sorry Half Life 2 fans but it is and this God like worship of Half Life 2 that exists today is totally weird to be honest. I mean you do not get people talking or worshiping Space Invaders, PacMan, Defender, Jetpack or even Pong now do you? Yes Half Life was good and I was there in the store the day it came out! But was shocked out how quickly you could play through it!

Yes so the games went from having a longevity, interest, that lasted months to just hours! During this time the graphics went out beyond even an orbit of Earth. I put it down to the fact that everyone was concentrating on this but that when this slowed down, which it had to do eventually, the games would increase in their longevity.

In fact I think that this is the one bad element of gaming that has forced the lustre to lose its shine. You get put off after several titles that end up being so short lived. Also and by the time I had figured out the way to play Dishonoured I was already over half way through the game! Once I rescued Emily, young girl in the game, the first time around I was beginning to think I had actually finished the game and I thought 'oooh no! It cannot be?! I am going to rip crap out of this game on my blog!!' LMAO!

Then I noticed my achievements in Steam and I thought 'Oooh no, I made a mistake there it has bloody ages to go as I have only achieved 10% of the achievements!' Then the double cross, drugged, whiz around Dunwall with an elements of freedom not been given earlier in the game and suddenly the game was over!

OOPS!

Also the added content is disappointing and somewhat contradictory to the way they want you to play it because after being sent off to do things and being scorned for killing people that were trying to kill YOU the extra content has you playing as someone who murdered the Empress at the start of Dishonoured, not an evil one and instead a nice Empress?!

God you really need to work on this one! I had no problems avoiding killing all but the most deserving in all the Thief games, except the latest one as I have yet to complete it! Umm I have not killed too many people and if I have killed any at all I am not being scorned for it, lol.

Now for the reasons I liked the game and would love to see a much improved follow up version and hope Bethesda really pull their finger out!

I love the design, characters and story and its not that often I get drawn in to a story like that. Half Life was the early master of that one. I also loved the city and the powers, though annoyingly found myself firing darts off at walls instead on Blinking, form of teleportation power you have in the game. Yes despite doing this countless times and often firing off several bolts I still managed to kill too many people it seems, lol.

Now the things that sprung to my mind as I was playing it ...

1 H.G. Wells

2 Sherlock Holmes (original films)

Or to put it simply a kind of old world science fiction 'who done it'.

However ...

The blink power oddly did not always work on all objects even at times being well within range.

Guards would sometimes appear out of nowhere, seemingly, and a few times I simply could not see where they were coming from and seemed like they were spawning out of thin are a few feet from me. I would take on a group of five or 6 but would be closer to a dozen once I finished, after repeating this several times after getting killed by an unseen assailant after being convinced I had dealt with them all?!

Also it suffers from a little problem, albeit differently, from something I find in both Elder Scrolls and Fallout and I call it the 'Sticky Pixels Syndrome'. Oh yeah just remembered it does not suffer from 'Varying Player Height Syndrome' I get in Fallout 3, lol. Often you suddenly feel like you are completely disabled because your unable to walk in certain direction because your near some obstacle or against it. Sometimes you cannot bloody move at all and the only option is to reload the last save! When this happens in Fallout 3 because your in a gap or dip in a bloody boulder its infuriating and very much more so if you realise you have not saved the game in awhile, lmao.

The overall size of the world is tiny, or at least it feels bloody tiny! Fallout 3, New Vegas and Elder Scrolls feel like they are 100 times larger, no a thousand times larger? Lol.

What I also loved though was the look of everything, it had great colour and looked like a beautiful watercolor painting very often! Now had some one asked me if you could create a world in a 3D game with the beauty of water colours I would have told them it was impossible or they were mad.

So really a shame it was so short as this had the makings to be something extremely stunning and memorable for me. It still has this option depending on what they do if they decide to do a follow up?

Maps and freedom way bigger and greater and do not make it so hard to be the good guy by restricting the hardware needed to be the good guy, remember its about CHOICE. A bit stupid when you have all these powers and abilities but cannot carry more than 10 sleeper darts for your crossbow, yet you can carry 20 normal bolts?! Hmm or was it 20 and 30? Lol, I hate you fibro-foggyness!!

Well at least I will now be keeping an eye out for three Bethesda titles in the future! Only I would wager that as Dishonoured was the most recent off the three its safe to say that a Dishonoured 2 is further away than both Fallout 4 that they are only rumoured to be working on and might only be piecemeal if they are and even Elder Scrolls 6?!

I hate the fact that Elder Scrolls Online exists for so many reasons its not true! I might have been very interested in Elder Scrolls Online for about a months time had it not been for the sheer expense of buying and then the humungous monthly subscription on top of that! Plus its been ripped to buggery by just about every reviewer and gamer since release! I know a video I saw of gameplay looked like utter mayhem and one big battle frenzy with obviously a load of players who kind of miss the point of what Elder Scrolls is all about?!

I think I would rather go for World of Warcraft ... well if the graphics were not so dated looking! Or cartooney, lol.

Now if only there were some other software publishers that had three titles I was as interested in as I am these three, well OK two and a half, from Bethesda?

PROCECT ZERO THE AMD A10-7850K KAVERI

Well here it is, the one that at least a few people would have been waiting for, I know I have.

I find this chip truly fascinating and the one I kind of talked about at university back in 1998. Hmm yeah well it is minus a couple of CPU cores but, hey. This is a start and I believe that not only is this a capable and innovative little slither of silicone that prompted me to finally build the system I was after but will lead to far greater things with the next two successors. Waited for this for so very long now.

If I could build a PC capable of being able to run Crysis 3 as near as damn it then this would be ace because games would come out that were better coded, read efficient, and I immediately think Bethesda and Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6, perhaps even Dishonoured 2?

That leads me onto the fact that outside of Bethesda and the Farcry series, have the first one here somewhere, I am totally unfamiliar with the games scene.

Interested in Metro. Crysis is OK but hearing it gets worse with each version and the graphics get better. Also hearing not good things about the company. But then because of the crap job they did of Crysis 3 I am not that surprised, so absolute NO-NOS where performed on that one that the person that suggested it should never be allowed to work in the gaming industry ever again.

As I paid £5.00 for it and £3.00 for the second installment in game, yes eight quid for both, I will not complain too much but you just do not include the ability to save your game.

What WAS that idiot thinking?

Anyway this is the bit I always enjoy the most is taking out the CPU I chose, sorry APU, and just holding it for a moment while studying it. Just thinking how much that one and a half inch square can actually do! The possibilities are also pretty grand too even on the desktop side and any software engineer worth his salt would simply want to code for all the cores capable of compute of which there are twelve. TWELVE!

When I think of that in a chip this size and price I truly wonder at others at their bemoaning and claims of championing and wonder of they truly get it or just looking at their boxes with rose tinted spectacles of love, lol.

As for the bottlenecking .. yes just don't, lol. I know that those stating these things really did not know the craft they laid claim to. JayzTwoCents, or whatever he calls himself on YouTube, already showed that this was utter bull. Mind you Linux Users might have an issue. However if the Steam OS comes out this should n longer be a problem. Of course if the rumours about Steam being done for nVidia re true this will not be good but rest assured this would not reflect well on Valve either, had to happen sometime and this might be it?

BETHESDA GAMES A GO GO & MORE

I have been playing Fallout New Vegas a great deal of late, to take my mind off other things.

It is interesting because there were several really nice things that I had failed to discover, down to me being away from games too long and off the pulse, so to speak.

I did not realise that The King's robot dog, Rex could become a companion. I had become obsessed with gunning down Deathclaws from afar with the Anti-Material Rifle and gathering as much loot as I could, especially as I realised that there is a place to store it all and that's in the Presidential Suite of the Lucky 38, as this appears to be mine now.

I also got some real shocks too! After a stint in that offshoot err add-on that I am just trying to buy time until I remember what it was called with the chips and the bald and mute lady and that ... ohh damn it. The one where your abducted and put a collar on by that Elijah bloke. Lol! You have to go through that town with those ghost type people but you have to do everything stealthily and at a snails pace.

That is the one thing that stands out as annoying is that walking in their games is extremely frustrating and you fell more like your dragging a leg. Running is OK but walking is a pin in the arse!

Now what I got a real refreshing surprise from was the other two umm oooh NUTS! The Canyon Wreckage one with Hopesville and errrrrrrrrr ummmmmmm that courier chap, I loved that! Way too short in my opinion and should have been much longer but I still loved it. The Divide! Brilliant, lol.

A complete contrast to this and equally as good and just as equally too dman short was the Northern Passage add-on. Or at least I think they were add-ons, lol. The Grand Canyon was beautifully presented but it was a bit light on a few things. Loved the Joshua Graham character and a shame it did not go a bit deeper into his character. I liked that snowchalk, or was it chalkcheese guy the one you meet when you first get there, oooh Zion that was what it was referred to as I remember now, lol. I thought I had done something so very wrong when we suddenly reached Zion and it was not what I expected at all. Everyone gets shot and I am getting ready to hit the reload as I thought I had missed something!

The funny thing was as I was gunning them down with a sniper rifle of some sort I was left with one guy and I knew I hit him and he was still standing?! I kept low and got a bit closer, took aim and shot him again and yet still he stood there?! I remember thinking 'Whoa! Hardly anything can survive a shot from this gun while hidden! That must be one tough mother?!' Turned out to be chalkcheese, Slowchalk or whatever his name was. Man, that was a pretty map whereas the Divide was interesting and menacing.

I must admit to having used Fallout to take up some time and I wanted to leave Skyrim alone for several weeks. Then I wanted to get the expansion disks.

However I was actually paying much closer attention than normal to the games that have been coming out and I did not realise that the graphics had moved on a whole Direct X number from Skyrim?! Mind you on the one hand people now state how old Skyrim is and its engine but not too long ago it was the bee's knees! For me when I saw the screenshots of Skyrim I could not quite believe my eyes! How far the 3D Engines had come since I built my last RIG, notice I said MY last rig as I did sort of build one for someone else a couple years back.

I could not help thinking that Skyrim for me, as I had been out of the gaming world for a few years, looked good on my system. As stated before my system is a Phenom X3 1.8Ghz with a Radeon HD 5450M graphics processor.

I never thought I would be able to play Skyrim on it in a million years and many people in the Internet said no way. All of them were wrong and I realised after first owning Oblivion and then Fallout 3 that the later engines were coded alot more efficiently than previously. Skyrim looks far better and runs a lot smoother than Oblivion on my laptop! Mad as it sounds, it is true.

So I could not help but think each time I played it just how good it would look with the settings on max?! Obviously there was no way that was going to happen on my laptop and I would not even get half way there, that much I knew! Then after I discovered that other titles were not only reported as having better graphics than Skyrim but also with the free roaming world idea I started to wonder even more! Mind you there is no point having a free roaming world unless you have a nice length main plot mission driver with other side plots to actually extend the main plot line!

Personally I hated these done in two days titles of old and I did not like it. Playing Oblivion and then Fallout and Skyrim this seemed to me to be the natural way to go and to extend the longevity of the game was a given and for me seriously needed to happen.

Years ago I was waiting for Half Life 2 with baited breath, do you know I just found the original receipt from PC World for my purchase of Half Life 2?! Yes it was good except for the fact I had completed it in just two days and yet at around that time I had the demo of a Real Time Strategy game Age of Empires II, I think it was, that I had played for around a month?!

I remember thinking how bloody stupid it was that this had occurred, I had paid 'X' amount of money and been forced onto a system, STEAM, I did not like and never thought would work, well it has not really and mostly full of crud lol, that was problematic at best t o play a game that was going to last in the hours and not even days for some.

Fast forward to present day and Bethesda's games are going for bloody weeks, but I would prefer months guys?! Lol!

In all honesty the maps are great and I am all in favour of bigger maps and more areas. Oddly I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Elder Scrolls online game had the entire Tamriel map? Stunning! However from a hort clip I saw the game looked like complete pandemonium and I will be honest here and stating that your charging for the software and then a monthly subscription on top?! Sorry there are absolutely no excuses for that and you will not ever get me paying out that money and those that do? Well your a few sandwiches short of a picnic! Well based on the video I saw and the way people are playing the game anyway they do seem to be minus those sandwiches?!

Why on earth would I pay to go into a game that instead of playing it with an interesting plot and getting together with other in a team or co-op type fair they're just running at each other in some massive drug influenced mad battle the likes of which reality has never seen and Napoleon Bonaparte would turn in his grave over!

These are obviously spotty teenagers that seem to hink that playing a game that way os the cool thing to do? Hmm maybe they should round up the players one at a time and do a psychological evaluation of them?! Lol. If any have dyed theur hair green then lock them up in a padded cell until a psychological evaluation is done.

I am looking arund currently trying to catch up on titles I have missed but that are not too old!

Not worked out FacrCry 3 yet as this gets some good reviews but then I see many are moaning because the plot was very thin and very short? I also here that rather surprisingly FarCry far was about to be, or has been, announced? I wonder if this is because of the things I read? I played the original FarCry and I am sure I got FarCry 2 but seem to remember it crashing and not completing it?

Similar to what I read about FarCry 3 was Thief! Now Thief, which I am most definitely getting, is an odd one because the graphics looked great and I was kinda hoping it was at least some of the original team behind it. I still have several copies, two came with two GeForce 6800GT's I used in my original SLI rig, today of the third instalment Thief III Deadly Shadows and this for me was one of the greatest games ever made! The best part was my sister laughing at me and said a game cannot be frightening so I let her play until cacking her underwear became a major problem as was the leaning to one side like she was going to dive under the kitchen table! I kid you not! She was not a kid either and was in full time work. She said she just never imagined a game could be scary!

Those reading this who played the game would have long since known that it was the asylum and they also would have known I was letting her play the part where you go up the spiral staircase!

But I hear the latest Thief is not all that. Well we will see before long.

Right now though it would be nice to know if there was going to be a Fallout 4 at some point and a Elder Scrolls?! Now what with the recent advancement of graphics and a couple of new graphics APIs of Direct X and Mantle along with HSA and hUMA I for one simply cannot wait!

Now the very idea of a title each of Fallout and Elder Scrolls with these technologies about makes me dribble like a madman! Lol! One thing I do feel sure about and that is that we will here something about BOTH titles before 2014 is through. I think that would give us all something to smile about?!

Now I have regained interest in Dishonoured and am looking for other open ended titles and see what is out there.

On another note I am getting excited about both Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen, though I am sure it wont be called that, maybe STAR COMMANDER? Lol!

On the lookout for forthcoming car racing titles too and that Project Cars sounds good even if the title does not? Hopefully a decent Need for Speed? I love the Need for Speed titles but they have the whole old Star Trek thing going on! One good one and then one or to crap ones, or so they say. Never played a crap one myself but then I missed out on a great deal of titles over the last five years! I do have Hot Pursuit and that is good!

Shall return to Hot Pursuit in the next coupld of weeks!

EYEING UP THE BITS AND PIECES

It seems that the chap I was mentioning before, at least I think I did (Fibrofog) is Jay Z Two Cents or something similar.

Due to the disappearence to the Canadian duo I have now added this chap to my susbscriptions, something I am very choosey about doing. However I liked his frank and funny approach to testing and reviewing things.

I am, I will admit, heavily looking into things right now and ... will be for the next couple of weeks to which after this I am going to be ... taking action regarding a few bits and pieces.

I have also been looking at more up to date games and even purchased a copy of PC Gamer recently. Now I had the first ever copy of that along with a few others. Some of these are no longer in existence and some are.

The titles I have read about have me somewhat excited I must say and I have a driven determination to try and achieve things over the next month!

However I do tend to like single player itles to multi player ones so I will have to check and make sure as to what is what and not make any mistakes in a months time.

But I do love flight Sims and am eager to see more about ...

Star Citizen (read its MMO :( )

Elite Dangerous (read its MMO :( )

Eve Valkyrie (MMO)

I was interested in X Rebirth as I played all the others but my word does it get a panning from people so ... maybe not?!

I also like Role Playing games along with open world games that can last you a long time, several weeks as opposed to several hours.

I love the two titles I have along these lines of

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

Fallout New Vegas (played Fallout 3 too)

Deus Ex Human Revolution

None of the follow ups to these have been announced quite unfortunately. Many are stating they are some way off but I whink maybe as not as far off as many think due to the launch of the new consoles of the PS3 and XBone?!

I am interested in ...

Crysis 3

Farcry 3

But I will have to check them out further and was also interested in Metro Last Light.

There are the Wolfenstein and Watch Dog titles too. Dragon Age Inquisition along with Tom Clancy's The Division and Dying Light. Also the H1Z1 sounds interesting thus far. Also Project Cars or any ohter driving game I can find I think will be of major interest?!

I also have a rough list of things that comprise .. umm ... ten things ... ooooh wait no? THIRTEEN things, lol. These are not games!

There are a few others rumoured about that seem interesting however I have lost count of the amount of hype a imminent title has acquired only for it to be a let down upon release for one reason or another. These companies should really not sell themselves out to parent companies who will treat them like musians are treated and rushed something out that is unfinished.

What I also foind surprising is that in this day and age where you can write things to optical disks so easily or provide your own downloadable content that things are still squeezed in this way? Especially now that you have things like Kickstarter too where scores of people go wading through it for projects of interest!

I mean there is very big name in music that got around all this kind of thing and will not pander to the greedy execs wanting money immediately and not content to wait and that of course is Radiohead.

Whatever I do in about one month from now you can bet that my best camera will be at the ready and fully put to work! I am also leaning in a direction I have not done so before and never wanted to before. Yet I am pretty sure that this time around I am going to dive into that area?!

Also I am interested in looking into Dishonoured which I nearly bought when it came out but was not too sure, but now their is talk of Dishonoured 2 and hopefully this will be followed, or preceded, by Fallout 4 (read rumour Boston was scouted for this) and then Elder Scrolls 6?!

I have another blog whereby it always seems that everything I do comes togeether at the same time along with things being released in the media. Maybe this endeavour will follow suit?!

I might have to finally get a hard line?! (:-P)

Fingers crossed!!

One month from now this blog will get a great deal of content along these lines as will my YouTube account!

At long bloody last and should be the first of two, maybe more?!

THE ELDER SCROLLS OFF THE MARK

Oh dear!

I saw this headline that said "5 Reasons why The Elder Scrolls Online is already a failure!" and I thought , oh my god! Can it be?

After reading the piece which I found courtesy of my Flipboard App I must say I am shocked.

I never managed to get around into getting into the whole online MMO thing but I had gained an interest when they announced The Elder Scrolls Online. I am a big sucker for gorgeous graphics it must be said and yes while I agree that the gaming part is just add big I simply show now interest or scratch my head regarding games with crap graphics. After seeing screenshots of Minecraft and reading about it's popularity I wound up add bald as a Coot! Yes maybe playing it may change my mind but for me gaming is about the ultimate escapism and that means realism. I play my copy of Elder Scrolls V Skyrim on a laptop that should not be able to play it! Oddly the last edition of Elder Scrolls actually not only looks worse than my Skyrim on the same laptop but plays very crap! So obviously the choosing in the game engine to Skyrim was far superior to Oblivion, Elder Scrolls IV.

I must say that it is surprising to see that Bethesda, who are God like beings to me after playing two Fallouts and Skyrim, can get an online game so wrong?! I mean it's not like online gaming is some brand new thing and they have been around for awhile now. World of Warcraft sounded interesting but the graphics looked a bit old to me and I must say had I bet my money on Bethesda and The Elder Scrolls Online I would have lost!

But there is another concern for me and gaming and it's the exact same thing that affects everyone who gets into coding. Everyone wants to get into this monthly pay us plan and to me they see this add more lucrative than a single player game. The fact that you have to fork out loads of wonga before you have even signed up to a monthly direct debit scheme is far more worrying! Especially add everyone seems to be taking so long to raise that the money pit is not bottomless! If everyone did this what would happen is you will have petiole trying to juggle and work out what they can do without. It would also mean that anyone new would find great difficulties in breaking into the gaming scene?! This would mean l less innovation in gaming!

Now I do not know how the online version of Elder Scrolls came about but for decades now the money people have been slowly coming and stifling creativity in games. A long time ago a couple of chaps used to go around the computer gaming ships selling a game they created on a set of 3.5 inch floppy disks. You may have heard of these guys add they were the ones behind one of the most popular of the early RPGs Ultima Underworld and eventually the space simulator of the famous Wing Commander series. Those days are long gone and along the way many other types of games and ones that got me into PCs in the first place have also gone, that being flight simulators. Outside of Flight Simulator X and umm that other one oh yeah X-Plane there is nothing much. I long for the return of things like Falcon and Strike Eagle among others! At least Wing Commander, oh I'm sorry Space Citizen is coming along with Elite Dangerous! Those people who were the original pioneers getting back into it probably because they see a gaping hole! Oh yes and X Rebirth is finally out to, I missed that one and recently saw it in my local Have store to my surprise.

I just hippie that Bethesda do not use all their time now fixing The Elder Scrolls Online and that they are not pandering to greedy executives of some patent company or label?! Otherwise it could be eons before we see Elder Scrolls 6 our Fallout 4?!

Good God, perish the thought!
